What it is

A plan built around you, not a single procedure

A smile makeover is a personalised plan that combines whichever treatments will get you the smile you want, in the right order, designed around your face and your budget.

Most people who come to us don’t arrive asking for a particular treatment. They know something - their teeth feel too dark, or crooked, or worn - but they’re less sure what would actually fix it, or the difference between whitening, bonding, veneers and straightening. That’s exactly what this is for.

For one person, the plan might be whitening and a little bonding. For another, straightening first, then whitening. The point is that it’s built around you, rather than picked from a menu.

The short version

A smile makeover, in four lines - for anyone in a hurry.

  • 01

A smile makeover is a personalised plan, not a single treatment.

  • 02

It can combine straightening, whitening, bonding, veneers and more, in the right order for you.

  • 03

It starts with a consultation where we design your smile around your face and your budget.

  • 04

At My E20 in Stratford, it’s planned by a team that includes a specialist orthodontist.

Where to start

Not sure what you need? That’s normal.

You don’t need to work out the answer before you come in - that’s our job. Most people genuinely can’t tell whether they need whitening, straightening, bonding or something else, and they’re not meant to. You tell us what bothers you and what you’d love your smile to look like, and we work out how to get there.

The building blocks

The treatments we might use

Here are the main building blocks of a smile makeover, in plain English. You won’t need all of them - most makeovers use two or three, chosen for your smile and nothing more.

Straightening

If your teeth are crooked, crowded or gappy, clear aligners such as Invisalign move them gently into place - often the foundation of a makeover, led by our specialist orthodontist.

Clear aligners & braces

Teeth whitening

If your teeth are healthy but darker than you’d like, whitening lifts them several shades. It removes no tooth at all, and is often the first step so we can match other work to your brighter shade.

Teeth whitening

Composite bonding

For small chips, uneven edges or little gaps, bonding rebuilds them with a tooth-coloured material sculpted on by hand - usually in a single visit, with little or no drilling.

Composite bonding

Veneers

For a bigger, longer-lasting change to the shape and colour of your front teeth, thin porcelain veneers sit over the front of the tooth. More of a commitment than bonding, and they last longer.

Dental veneers

Replacing missing or worn teeth

If you have gaps, or teeth that are broken down, crowns, bridges or dental implants restore how your smile looks and works - so the makeover is healthy as well as good-looking.

Replace teeth

Everyday dentistry that lifts your smile

Sometimes the quickest win is swapping old dark metal fillings for natural white ones, or simply getting your gums healthy - the frame around your teeth.

White fillings

The difference

Why the plan matters more than the treatments

Here’s the part most people don’t realise: the order matters as much as the treatments themselves. Choosing treatments one at a time, with no overall plan, is how people end up with work that doesn’t quite match or doesn’t last. A makeover planned as a whole, by one team under one roof, avoids that.

Whiten → then bond

Whiten before bonding, and we can match the new material to your brighter teeth - so nothing looks out of place later.

Straighten → then veneer

Straighten before veneers, and we often remove far less tooth, because the teeth are already lined up.

One team → one plan

Planned as a whole by one team, the steps work together rather than against each other - and the result lasts.

Your journey

Your smile makeover journey

There’s no commitment at the start - just a conversation. Here’s how it usually goes. We see patients from across Stratford, East Village and the wider E20 area.

A proper consultation

We start by listening. You tell us what bothers you and what you'd love your smile to look like, and there's no pressure to have the answers worked out first - that's what we're here for. Before we discuss anything cosmetic, we check the health of your teeth and gums, because a makeover only lasts when it's built on a healthy foundation. By the end, you'll understand what's possible and what we'd genuinely recommend.

Designing your smile

Next we design the smile itself - the shape, shade and balance of your teeth, planned around your face so the result looks like you, only better, rather than a set of identical white teeth. Where it helps, we can show you a preview of the proposed result before any treatment begins, so you can see the direction and shape it with us. Nothing is set in stone until you're happy with the plan.

Your plan and quote

You'll receive a clear written plan that sets out exactly which treatments are involved, the order they'll happen in, roughly how long the whole thing will take, and the full cost with no surprises later. If you'd like to spread the payment, we'll talk you through the finance options at this stage too. You then take it away and decide in your own time - there's never any obligation to go ahead.

Treatment, in stages

Once you're ready, we carry out the plan step by step, in the order that gets the best and longest-lasting result - often whitening or straightening first, then the finer cosmetic work. We move at a pace that suits you rather than rushing everything into one visit, and we keep you comfortable and informed at every appointment, checking in as we go so you always know what's happening and what comes next.

The reveal, and keeping it

When the final piece is in place, we show you the finished result and make sure you're genuinely happy with it. Then we give you everything you need to keep it looking its best - how to care for veneers or bonding, when to top up whitening, and the simple habits that protect your investment. And because we're here for the long term, we'll keep an eye on it for you at your regular visits for years to come.

An honest word

Is a smile makeover right for you?

A smile makeover is right for most people who are unhappy with how their smile looks and are healthy enough to begin. A few honest points are worth making.

  • Any decay or gum problems are treated first, because cosmetic work on an unhealthy mouth doesn’t last.
  • The aim isn’t a row of identical, unnaturally white teeth. It’s a smile that looks like a better version of your own.
  • You’re always in control of how far you go - a complete transformation or just one or two things sorted, both are completely fine.

Cost and finance

Built around you, priced for you

Because every smile makeover is built around the individual, there’s no single price. Your cost depends on which treatments are in your plan and how much work each involves - and you’ll always get a full written quote at your consultation before anything goes ahead.

Many smile makeovers come to more than £1,000, which means the cost can be spread over up to 12 months at 0% APR, with no interest to pay.

In safe hands

The team behind your smile makeover

A makeover often draws on more than one set of hands - one of the real advantages of having it done with a full team under one roof. Depending on your plan, that can include our specialist orthodontist and our dentists with a special interest in restorative and cosmetic work.

Questions worth asking before a smile makeover

A smile makeover is a real investment, so it’s worth asking any practice, including us.

01

Will you show me what my smile could look like before we start?

02

In what order will the treatments happen, and why?

03

How much of my natural tooth will be removed, if any?

04

Which parts can be reversed or adjusted later?

05

What is the full cost, and can it be done in stages?

Frequently asked questions

about smile makeovers at My E20 Dentist

Not at all. It’s the most common way people arrive, and working it out is exactly what the consultation is for. You bring the concern, we bring the options.
There’s no fixed price, because every plan is different. A makeover that is whitening and a little bonding costs far less than one involving straightening and veneers. You’ll get a full written quote before anything starts, and plans over £1,000 can be spread over 12 months at 0% APR.
It depends on the plan. Whitening and bonding can be done in a visit or two. If straightening is part of it, the teeth need time to move, so the whole process might run over several months. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at your consultation.
That’s the whole point. A good makeover is designed around your face and looks like a healthier, more confident version of your own smile - not a set of obvious veneers. We’d rather you looked like you on a good day than like someone else.
Often not. Many people picture veneers when they think of a smile makeover, but a combination of whitening, light bonding and straightening achieves what they want with less, and keeps more of the natural tooth. Where veneers are genuinely the best option, we’ll tell you.
Most of the treatments involved are comfortable, and anything that needs it is carried out with the tooth fully numbed. We take particular care with nervous patients.
Yes. Plans of £1,000 or more can be spread over up to 12 months at 0% APR, with no interest to pay. We’ll go through the options at your consultation.
Some parts, like whitening and bonding, benefit from occasional upkeep, and we’ll tell you exactly what to expect so there are no surprises. Looked after well, a smile makeover lasts for years.
