World leading teeth straightening from our specialist-led team
Invisalign treatment at My E20 Dentist is led by Dr Gayatri Pattar, with the added reassurance of specialist orthodontic oversight from Dr Andreea Negulescu when a case calls for it. It's one of the reasons our patients travel to see us, from Stratford and East Village to Forest Gate, Hackney, Leyton, Wanstead, East Ham, Plaistow and Canary Wharf.

How Invisalign® works
Your specialist orthodontist will create a unique, digital treatment plan that maps out the movements of your teeth.
Your Invisalign® aligners apply the appropriate force to alter the position of your teeth gradually and gently over time. You'll receive a sequence of aligners, changing to a new set every two weeks to achieve your new, straighter smile.
Invisalign® clear aligners are moulded to fit your teeth , with no sharp edges or brackets
Your teeth move little by little, so you’ll hardly notice you’re wearing aligners

taking Impressions
We’ll take photos and panoramic X-rays, and put together a bespoke treatment plan to help you achieve a straighter, more confident smile. The impressions we take of your mouth will be sent to the Invisalign® lab, for your custom aligners to be made.
wear your aligners
You will receive a series of custom-made aligners to wear every day and change at home. You’ll need to switch to a new set of aligners around every 2 weeks, and see your orthodontist at our London E20 practice every 6-8 weeks, so we can check on progress.
Enjoy your new smile
You should start noticing a difference in your smile within a few weeks of wearing your Invisalign® aligners. Once your treatment plan is complete, we will give you retainers to maintain your new smile.

Frequently asked questions
Most Invisalign treatment takes between 6 and 18 months, though some milder cases finish sooner and more complex cases can take longer. Wearing your aligners for the recommended 20 to 22 hours a day is the single biggest factor in staying on track. Dr Pattar will give you a clear timeline at your consultation based on your specific case.
Yes. For Invisalign to work properly, your aligners need to be worn for at least 20 to 22 hours a day. That means taking them out only to eat, drink anything other than water, and clean your teeth. Less than this and treatment can slow down or stall, so consistency really matters.
No, but some pressure is normal. Most patients describe a feeling of tightness or mild ache for the first day or two after switching to a new set of aligners, which is the gentle pressure that's moving your teeth. It settles quickly, and most people barely notice it after the first few weeks.
Invisalign aligners are made from SmartTrack, a flexible, medical-grade thermoplastic developed specifically for Invisalign treatment. They're BPA-free, latex-free and FDA-cleared, with decades of clinical research behind them. Invisalign is one of the most established clear aligner systems in the world.
If looked after, no. Most staining happens because of what's eaten or drunk while the aligners are in. To keep them clear, remove your aligners before eating or drinking anything other than water, brush them gently with a soft toothbrush and lukewarm water (never hot, which can warp them), and rinse them often. Each new set in your series replaces the previous one, so any minor wear or marking is short-lived.
Your consultation is a relaxed conversation with Dr Pattar about what you'd like to change. She'll examine your teeth and bite, take a digital scan to plan your treatment, and show you a preview of what your finished smile could look like. If you decide to go ahead, the next step is having your custom aligners made and ready to start.
Attachments are small tooth-coloured shapes bonded to a few of your teeth that help the aligners grip and move your teeth more precisely. They're almost invisible in everyday wear, don't affect daily life, and are removed at the end of treatment. Many Invisalign patients have at least a few attachments depending on the movements needed. Dr Pattar will explain whether you'll need them at your consultation.
IPR stands for interproximal reduction. It's a technique used to create tiny amounts of space between crowded teeth by gently polishing a very small amount of enamel. It's painless, conservative, and only used when needed. Dr Pattar will explain in detail if your plan calls for it.
Invisalign is very safe and well-tolerated, but a few things are worth being aware of. Some patients experience mild sensitivity when switching to a new set of aligners. Speech can be slightly different for the first few days while you adjust, particularly with a slight lisp, which settles quickly. The biggest risk is not wearing the aligners enough, which can extend treatment or affect the result. Dr Pattar will go through everything in detail at your consultation.
Both are excellent clear aligner systems and can deliver great results. Invisalign has been on the market longer, has the largest database of treated cases worldwide, and offers a wide range of features for complex cases. Spark uses a newer material designed to stay clearer longer. At My E20 Dentist, Dr Pattar will recommend the system best suited to your specific case at your consultation.
Yes. Retainers are essential after any orthodontic treatment because teeth naturally want to drift back towards their original position. Most patients have a fixed wire bonded behind the front teeth, a removable retainer to wear at night, or both. Dr Pattar will recommend the right plan for you.
If your teeth don't end up exactly where they should, Dr Pattar can plan a short course of refinement aligners to fine-tune the result. This is a normal part of getting Invisalign results just right and is included in many treatment plans.
Invisalign treatment at My E20 Dentist starts from £2,200, with the final cost depending on the complexity of your case. You'll receive a clear, written quote at your consultation, and 0% finance is available for treatment over £1,000 to help spread the cost.
You'll enjoy a straighter, more confident smile
